break from training

I've been sick for about a month straight with Strep Throat at least 3 times since December. As soon as my drugs from the doctor are gone, I'm sick again. Anyway, this has caused a delay in my training. I haven't totally given up on the race yet but I'm definitely looking forward to getting back in the gym...as soon as I get better as I'm sick now.

So far, I have about 9 clients lined up for the lawn business. Hopefully as I start cutting, I'll get a few more referrals to get a total of around 15. This would be a great side income to help us work our debt snowball.

In the words of the Dread Pirate Roberts..."Good work, rest well, I'll most likely kill you in the morning"

Hey, sorry to hear about your battle with Strep. I had a friend who recently went through something similar. Here are some things we learned: 1. alcohol decreases effectiveness of antibiotics. 2. Ă…lways replace your toothbrush when you have strep because the bacteria loves to linger there. 3. Gargling with salt water even after you are well once every day for a while helps keep that bacteria away.

Try to get your immune system really strong. Make sure you are taking a probiotic while on antibiotics (but not within 2 hours of antibiotic) to replace the good bacteria that the antibiotics is also killing. I know of some good ones. Also, vitamin C is really helpful.

That will be $50.

I was just randomly reading blogs starting at Jen's conversion diary and happened up your wife's blog and then onto yours. I had strep 3 times in a row in 2008 when my fifth child was a newborn. Here is what we learned - GET EVERY FAMILY MEMBER'S THROAT SWABBED to find out who is carrying strep but not showing symptoms. This has happened to us twice, once in 2006 and again in 2008 (you'd think we'd learn). In 2006, my 8 year old son had it though was the only one who didn't get sick and in 2008 all 4 kids were positive for strep though none of them ever got sick (just me, 3 months in a row).
